Have a Safe Christmas
A few thoughts and hints before the festivities commence in earnest to make sure we all have a happy Christmas.
When Christmas shopping, please remember to place any items out of sight in your car thus preventing easy pickings for any opportunist thief in the area. The Police will be patrolling the car parks and the registered keeper may be contacted and advised accordingly of any vehicle seen having items on display.
Please bear in mind that the legal limit for driving is 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood! That is not a lot of alcohol! Everyone has a different metabolic rate and the type of drink, your body weight and sex can also have an effect on how much you can drink before being "over the limit".
So the simple answer is DONT DRINK AND DRIVE! Nominate a driver who agrees not to drink alcohol on the night out or take a taxi or public transport. Dont be tempted - the Police are carrying out random checks. Also please remember that the alcohol takes quite some time to get out of your system - so please allow plenty of time between drinking and driving to work the next day as you could still be over the limit.
