Community Fuel Clubs
If you have oil based central heating, a fuel club can save money for you and your community.

For houses relying on oil to provide heating and hot water, fuel costs have risen steeply with international rises in oil prices. If you have oil based central heating, a fuel club can save money for you and your community. It works by bringing residents together to order their oil in bulk from a supplier.
Although some clubs have 100 or more members, many start small and grow larger. Just having a group of 10 or 20 people might help you make some savings - and the savings are likely to grow as more people join. But - fuel suppliers will only work with fuel clubs if there is enough business to make it work for them.
Typical savings are between 2.5 and 4 pence per litre of oil.
