Ravely Road Surface
Ravely Road surface due to be resurfaced in Spring 2010.
Local councillors recently met with a representative from Highways yesterday to discuss the poor road surface on the Ravely (Wiggly) Road.
The road is not finished, as it has still to be dressed, but the type of finish relies on traffic compounding the road before the 'top coat' is applied.
Highways acknowledge that the ride quality is not satisfactory and are in touch with the contractors.
The dressing to finish the road is due to be applied April / May time and a further inspection will be carried out in February to establish whether any further work is required prior to dressing.
The Parish Council are requesting that warning signs be placed at the junctions to advise people of the uneven road.
The work has been carried out following the Coroner's recommendation after a fatal accident and will provide a much safer surface.
