Parish Council Update

A few updates and notices from the Parish Council.

Nesting Birds

The Parish Council have been asked by local farmers to ask dog walkers to be aware that birds are beginning to pair up and will start nesting. They can be easily disturbed and this can affect breeding.

Dog Fouling

The Parish Council have received lots of complaints about dog poo again. The situation is particularly bad in Church Street and Oaklands Avenue. There are only a few irresponsible dog owners that do not clear up after their dogs; the vast majority of dog owning residents are diligent in cleaning up. Please, please clear up and keep our village clean.

Litter Picking

The Parish Council are taking part in Clean for the Queen, to celebrate her Majestys 90th birthday. This will be taking part over the weekend of 4th to 6th March and the Parish Council will be arranging litter picking around the village. Please watch out for posters.

Speedwatch

Speedwatch is going to get up and running in the village again and a training session is to be arranged very soon. The Parish Council are looking for volunteers to give up a couple of hours to monitor speeding through the  village. If you are interested please either contact parishclerk@wistowvillage.info or gordonmacinnes@hotmail.co.uk.
